First of all. Yes, he was let go by NCST for reasons neither you nor I know. I do know it wasn't due to on the field performance. A few days later he got offered the job at Pitt where he became the only OC in the nation to make the final 5 for Assistant Coach of the Year.
Secondly. This "never been a head coach" business is BS. Hottest, most coveted Head Coach in the country is Scott Frost. Guess what he never was before UCF, a head coach.
So, you'll take Guidry over Canada? That is absurd.I'm ok if he wants to be OC here, but he will not last long if hired. We deserve better with a proven head coach.
Sure. The highest paid OC in the country is a fraud with a bunch of gimmick plays for an offense that for the first time in history won't work because we hired him. This year most were complaining about the defense with their hands on their hips, well it could be that way with the offense next year with all his gimmick plays.
Got it. Thanks for the heads up.
He's 12-12 at UTSA.If it is an LSU guy at UL, I would go with Frank Wilson, but don't think he is a candidate.
Coker was 22-26.
Somebody get a fire extinguisher. That boy is red hot.
Not to change the subject of whether our next coach should come from LSU or not, but did anyone hear the morning show on ESPN1420? Around the 8:30 hour, their was a guest (past UL athlete, but I did not catch his name, nor his sport.....though I think the commentator, Cody Junot, said he was a running back). They were talking about the foundation that was left by Coach Hud. He said that it all started with Jerry Baldwin, upon which Ricky Bustle built upon before Hud continued to build. He said the next HC will need to leave off where Hud left it.
I agree that Bustle started it, but what the heck did Baldwin do for the university, except call UL racist? Baldwin was the biggest waste of time and money the university ever spent. If I'm wrong, please excuse me, but what foundation did Baldwin start?
Frank Wilson 👎🏿🤦_♂️🤣
Overpaid!!!!
Let's hope he doesn't sucker our AD into a salary that he is clearly not worth.

The guys name was Emery Hunt, and he was signed in Baldwins first year. Baldwin was never a great (or even good) coach for the Cajuns and definitely didn't fit, but he did manage to sign some decent player, Maybe you might remember Kyries Hebert, Eric Bartel, Darren Brister, D'anthony Batiste, Ross Brupbacher, Frederick Stamps, Justin Venable, Marcus Wilridge, Ike Taylor, and Charles Tillman, who were all signed during the Baldwin era.
