Glad to see this is back.
Historically the jackets had an "S"
Sweaters in the early early 1900's
Still just an "S" for the schools nickname Southwestern.
"L" for the schools nickname Louisiana would have made more sense tradition wise.
They called it inaugural, which shows they didn't do any research. And UL Lafayette shows Martin Hall got involved.
I think we are tripping over our shadow here.
Virtually Every school in the country goes by the first letter of their nickname.
It was the S Club for almost 100 years. They change the name to Louisiana, it should be the L club.
Vermilion and White should be included as a differentiator.
Seems to me that is more their issue than ours. We are Louisiana and they are Louisiana State. If we want to rightly call ours the L Club which fits our name, it clearly has nothing to do with LSU's choosing to call their club the L Club. In fact the school colors and LSU on the L would distinguish theirs from ours.
We can't get out of our own way! There needs to be an L on these jackets!
