I don’t like it, but I don’t have to wear it. The sleeves need to be white, and the letter L red trimmed in white. I don’t even have to mention there’s no need for the Lafayette because Louisiana is our athletic brand.

Look at how ESPN is referring to our game tonight vs Loyola:

    L-LA vs ULL

We captured Louisiana but I don't think the LA will get much traction. Too much like Los Angeles. If we are bold enough to us Louisiana, be bold enough to use ULA. We would be in great company with Georgia - UGA and Virginia - UVA. Since LA is an abbreviation for Louisiana, using ULA will be a natural acronym. Push the envelope and we will not be opposed any more than we were with Louisiana.

And while we are at it, drop UL and use L on all things like M - Michigan, A - Alabama, N - Nebraska, T - Texas. Use L on our caps, visors, helmet, and other paraphernalia. And, use L for the Louisiana Letterman's club in red and white as you suggested. The Letterman's club is athletic, so why are we using UL Lafayette?

    Louisiana
    ULA
    L

Everyone, even ESPN, will buy into that and everyone will follow.

I guarantee you Martin Hall is involved.

If Martin Hall ran General Motors every division would be a Chevrolet.
