Fair, but he's no more of a gamble than Henson, Canada or Pry. Cmon

What has Nussmeier proved by having below average offenses? Sorry I'd take Wilson all day over the coaches that have been rumored.

I actually agree with you over Nussmeier. He has never delivered what was promised. In this case, I would take Wilson.

I think if we poll 100 fans all would have differing opinions. I firmly believe Wilson would push us above the other G5 schools in State.

......So we bring in a guy that has won a college national championship and a super bowl....already has a house in Lafayette!!! Maybe his son comes for special teams and leaves his pro gig! Ya never know!!!

    Here's another thing.

Some of these candidates would provide Splash. Some would not. None are guaranteed to succeed.

At the very least, a Splash hire that does not work out has at least shown that you are trying to get noticed, and believe it or not, that has value to your program.

    Overrated.

The last 3 stAte Head Coaches left stAte for Boise, Ole Miss, and Auburn. Not a one of them were a Head Coach in FBS or FCS before stAte.

This would be based just on his ability to deliver athletes to LSU.

    Gamble.

And I'm thinking it would be easier to recruit from here.
