It's too Quiet!
The calm before the "storm"! I like the way Dr. Maggard has been running the dept! Will this upcoming hire be a great success? Who knows at this point. But l am confident it will be a well-vetted, strongly researched hire. I expect it will end up being a good one. CajunNation is anxiously awaiting the news!

Rubbing elbows with some big names most likley
Arkstfan just made a comment on the Coosa forum where they're discussing the Coosa model, G5 realignment, etc. I found his comment applicable to what's taking place in our athletic department right now and shows the importance of this hire.
"Don't forget we have the witching hour coming.
TV deals for BYU, MWC, Sun Belt, and AAC expire after the 2019 football season and 2020 hoops season. CUSA deal with BeIN expires then as well if I remember right.
Also most of the bowl contracts expire after the 2019 bowls.
If someone is seriously thinking change, they will start moving on it between March of 2018 and March of 2019"
Briles isn’t going to get serious consideration.
Hearing #AustinPeay's Will Healy has a pretty good shot at landing the #SouthAlabama HC job. Healy is a terrific story. Only 32 yrs old. His team smashed a 29-game losing streak this year, in his second season and he led them to an 8-win year w/ 3 of his losses to FBS programs.

Thats would be a huge let down for USA if they had Chip Lindsey on the hook
I do not want a HC to be my age.
I do not want an FCS hire (with maybe a few exceptions).
I want someone that's been to the peak of NCAAF.
We have names on our list that have been National Champions. Yes please.
im hearing some chirping about it possibly being Steve Hale
