I wouldn't doubt all three will be interviewed if not already. But I'm not certain about his sources.

    He's a problem at LSU.
I can tell you that story has been stretched more than a bit. It is no secret accept to some Cajun fans that Orgeron was forced to hire Canada and he would like to have his own guy, specifically his good friend Huge Freeze. Clearly Canada wants out as well. Canada is a very approachable guy and the kids at LSU love playing for him and in his system.

The higher the pedigree, the more you will find online articles criticizing their styles. I don't think a lot of Cajun posters realize how talented those 3 men are. The criticisms they've "earned" are in the cauldron of elite college and/or professional football. The assessments are evaluating their stock of being at the top programs... ahead of the next 5 best in class coaches. The closest person we've ever had to a Canada or Nussmeier mind is Nelson Stokley. Brent Pry has elevated his stock monumentally since he was here under Bustle. He's a defensive guru. It's incredible that fans don't see the value in these guys. I'm not denying that I'm more of an FCS super offensive maniac head coach admirer... but we are not going to very likely see bigger "splash names" (in coaching circles) than those 3 men.

That's a fact. He simply does not jive with O. It isn't a Canada thing. Others in the O staff have to take sides with O. They like their jobs. Canada isn't a fit to have Orgeron meddling with the offense. O doesn't know what else to do with himself. LSU hired two coordinators that are first in class (Canada and Aranda). Canada and O are simply an odd marriage. The only reason LSU fans will dump on Canada is because once you leave... even for nothing against LSU itself... they go into ape mode.

Compared to the hire back in 2010 how do these stack up against the last top 3

As offensive minds, Hud isn't on the same level as Canada and Nussmeier. He never had the same level of responsibility. Since Brent Pry has been gone, and the successful defenses he's coached (not to say he wasn't good under Bustle)... he would do wonders for our defense. And I would expect he'd choose a very good OC and let him run the technical details of the offense.

I hope these are just names Maggard has on a long list. There are a lot of solid possibilities out there. What all of us do not know is what is Dr. Maggard's likes and dislikes from interviews and investigative evaluations. Who does he talk to and who else is he allowing to influence the outreach and the interviews of candidates. He isn't going to do this in a vacuum. But there's no doubt he understands the critical nature of this hire on his future. He has to know that he's selected someone that elevates the program above the decision to buy out Hud and excite fans and recruits to or back to this program.

Yup, hiring a softball coach is one thing, the money pit called football is another. This is Maggards biggest hour no doubt.

I’m really hoping it’s either Canada, Pry or Nussmeier

I've had friends say there is no way we are getting good hires like these.. I can't wait for them to eat crow

Can't say I have a favorite, we're upgrading with any of these candidates. Keep thinking back to the past few seasons when we're frequently debating - "Was our HC out coached, out schemed by the opponent's HC?" It sure felt like it, frequently, on both sides of the ball. You might beg to differ, but I believe the Sunbelt is a coaches conference. It seems to me there's not a tremendous difference in talent and depth in the top 5 SBC football programs. The quality of the HC and his coaching staff is the biggest difference maker for contending for conference championships or not. JMHO.
