Hugh Freeze does have a show cause for 1 year as a HC. No show cause and an assistant.

Lane Kiffen would like a word with you...he may be one of the reasons, but he is not "the reason."

    Was he convicted of something?

No, but neither was his dad, that has nothing to do with public opinion of them.

Was he found in violation from the NCAA?

No, but the school he was at and his last name is associated with was hit hard and he was a part of that no matter what found in violation.

Remember, the coach we just fired had baggage as well. I guarantee you that when Kiffin leaves, Briles will take over and use that job to get a P5 job.

Hudspeth's baggage is in no way compared to the Briles baggage. Brile's baggage was national headlines and will continue to be any where he is hired.

    He can do that here.

Do what exactly? He has never been a head coach...if he was currently FAU's head coach I would say we might look at him, but the risk is not worth it and I don't think Maggard is going that direction.

    Here's a name I don't think I have seen here yet.

David Gibbs, Texas Tech Defensive Coordinator. 49 Years old.

He makes around $800k at Texas Tech but maybe he wants a shot as head coach, of course if they fire Kliff next year he may be next in line. He has completely turned around Texas Tech's defense this past 2 seasons and had dominate defenses at Houston. Loads of experience in the NFL and big time programs. VERY STRONG TEXAS TIES.

We are a nation of second chances guys.. This country forgave Mike Tyson. MIKE TYSON.

Briles would have this program in a NY6 Bowl inside of 3 years. What's that worth to you? Maybe the guy finds religion and resurrects his life in Cajun Country. In the mean time, I'll take the move up to AAC and the conference domination; the national ranking and media attention. I'll take a packed house and meaningful games in December.

Again.. No civil or criminal suit was ever filed. NOT ONE. I know that doesn't necessarily make him a saint, but if the allegations were so awful and so true, why didn't any of these victims file legal or civil suits against this man?

Kind of stretch for a guy who has never been a head coach and coaching for less than 10 years.

Again, I don't think Maggard is looking to go that direction at all.

Have you seen the amount of points Texas Tech allows each week? Do you really think that's a good hire?

Herman wasn't ever a head coach prior to Houston HC job when he beat Florida St on New Years day 3 years ago.
