I have a strong distrust for anything LSU. We can do better than Canada. Let them deal with their bad hirings the way we have to...by having to pay them longer than we want to.

Looking at all the names thrown out, Canada has to be the clear #1.

I don't know the whole story of Kendal Briles, but if there were no baggage, he would be #1.

I also think the radio guys had a point this morning. Sarkisian should be interviewed if he is interested.

Lane Kiffin taking the job at Florida Atlantic will make our opening more appealing to some bigger names. Hope we land a Whopper!

We are not hiring Kandal Briles as a head coach. You might as well throw that name out.

If Hugh Freeze does not have a show clause, we should consider him.

I have no favorite because we really don't have a list of Maggard's top 5 targets. Right now, we all just want the best hire possible for this program and I believe our AD will deliver.

He is the OC at FAU and the reason they are 10-3.

    Was he convicted of something?

Was he found in violation from the NCAA?

Remember, the coach we just fired had baggage as well. I guarantee you that when Kiffin leaves, Briles will take over and use that job to get a P5 job.

    He can do that here.

Hugh Freeze does have a show cause for 1 year as a HC. No show cause and an assistant.

Lane Kiffen would like a word with you...he may be one of the reasons, but he is not "the reason."

    Was he convicted of something?

No, but neither was his dad, that has nothing to do with public opinion of them.

Was he found in violation from the NCAA?

No, but the school he was at and his last name is associated with was hit hard and he was a part of that no matter what found in violation.

Hudspeth's baggage is in no way compared to the Briles baggage. Brile's baggage was national headlines and will continue to be any where he is hired.

    He can do that here.

Do what exactly? He has never been a head coach...if he was currently FAU's head coach I would say we might look at him, but the risk is not worth it and I don't think Maggard is going that direction.
