If this personality quirk can be verified from his past assignments... it would be helpful.
I remember reading on TD when he was a candidate for the LSU OC job that guys on there kept mentioning that he was rumored to not get along with the head coaches he worked for, except for Pitt and NIU (maybe because nothing was ever mentioned about it). Wisconsin, NC State and now LSU are jobs he has had bad relationships with the staff.

Interesting. He'd be the head coach here. I don't know if that changes anything. Nick Saban and Bill Belichick are 100% jerks. They aren't meant to be assistant coaches. I like hired guns. I want a man with serious football brains and natural leadership abilities. I want clean character... not friendship character... for a football coach. But if Canada has been revealed as too odd... we don't need to experiment with him. If he ends up at another G5 that crushes it... I might want to revisit the discussion.

4 jobs in 4 years already throws up a caution sign IMO.
Canada may not be for us.
Don't listen to everything you hear. He is a tremendous offensive mind and players love to play in his scheme. The question for him and any other coordinator with no head coaching experience is can they manage a staff and run the entire operation of a college football program?

Again, not everything you hear is accurate. Sometimes you are not a fit on a staff, but you were hired because of your scheme. Without him, LSU's offense would have been much worse. Not his fault they are mediocre at the QB position.

I don't doubt his X&O ability. Just hearing a bunch about his attitude making him hard to work with.

Yes, and most of that is coming from the LSU family because he has no intentions of staying in Baton Rouge long term. Remember, many of those same LSU people wanted to throw Orgeron off the Miss Bridge after the loss to Troy.

I'm not certain he is a fit here, I certainly would interview the guy. But it's entertaining reading people say I've heard this or that about a coach when it's coming from fan forums. Unless it's something that is documented like in the cases of Schiano or Briles, I don't read fan forums or ask questions about coaches on a conference boards to get inside information.

Just was watching Matt Canada coaching style videos and his offense is pretty awesome! His style could actually fit here....I was skeptical at first, but that dude has a very good offensive mind!

Last week some were requesting a coach that wouldn't stay long.

    He qualifies.

Word is, the agents of both Canada and Pry have stipulated that any chance of their clients coaching here will be with the understanding that a certain someone will cover himself up better at football games.
