Haha I can't help it. Coaching search has me looking in every crevice of the interwebs for info.

Would love a Sumlin hire. I just can't see it happening for us. Sumlin has proven himself as an above average head coach. I think he can land a decent P5 job. He might just take his $10 million from Aggie and sit out a year and see what opportunities he gets next year.

It's not like he was losing a ton of games or has to rebuild his image a la Kiffen. There's a little bit of a rebuild to be done here and the case could be made that 5 win season here would do more damage to his resume than sitting out a year after a 7 win season.

That may be the case but think about how many great coaches are on the table right now and we have our pick .. it's crazy

I think that is more than likely what he does this year. But, with Sumlin's huge payout from Texas A&M of $10.7M, he really doesn't need big money. It could be he is willing to come in if he get's certain requirements agreed upon and coach this program. It's highly unlikely, but certainly not out of the realm of possibilities.

Eff 'em. Sumlin's replacement is sitting in College Station right now because TAMU gave all the naysayers the double rods and went and got the guy they wanted.

Do we have a particular airplane that that athletics uses? I assume it would fly out of Lafayette Regional. If we know who's plane we possibly use, we might be able to do some tracking.

i think there are a number of different planes the department uses. the owners of those airplaines are gracious enough to donate the use of their planes to make travel easier for our coaches and admin. they are referred to as the cajun air force.
