Guys like Sonny Cumbie, Chip Lindsey, Billy Napier, etc wow me.

Henson doesn't have "wow" factor but I think he would do well here. Nussmeier for me is the the one I like the least. He has had 2 years out of 10 as a coordinator that he had a good offense. Pry and Canada I'm not against but I would prefer a lot of others.

Saw somewhere yesterday that Chip Lindsey interviewed for the South Al job.

Do you think it is likely to be someone we have been discussing, or will it be someone not even on our radar?

Yup. Looks like it will be between Lindsey and Steve Campbell for that job. Both would be great hires for them.

I fully recognize the fact that none of us know how the interviews are going behind closed doors. I'm just going off of resumes and bios I find online. And on paper, Canada sure does seem like the most exciting option.
    Agree on all counts.

Canada is a Grand Slam hire.

Pry is a Home Run hire.

    Henson is base clearing Triple.

Who is the guy who hits into a double play with a guy on 1st and 3rd with 1 out

    My guess is Lance Guirdy

    Canada's record....

Named OC NIU 2011. NIU 2011 MAC Champs.

Named OC Wisconsin 2012. Wisconsin 2012 BIG10 Champs.

OC NC State 2013-2015. 3 of the most productive offensive years in history of school.

Named OC Pitt 2016. Only offensive coach in the 5 finalists for Asst. Coach of the Year award.

Named OC LSU 2017. Turns completely dysfunctional offense around.

He's not just an x and o guru. He has a history of QB development. At NC State he took a QB that had fizzled out elsewhere and turned him into the QB that is starting for the Colts, Jacoby Brissett.

    Can't argue with this......

In the end, that's what we all want, a coach to take us to the next level. It's not an easy thing to do and many excellent coaches would fail. It's a difficult job that Maggard has, to find that rare coach that can take a G5, with very little history on the national seen, and limited resources (currently), and take them to their full potential. That potential, here at UL, is higher than most G5's and many P5's, I believe. It can be done with the right Coach(s), and the right administration.

That's why state hired him in the first place, he has a tremendous record in succeeding wherever he went. I have no idea if he can be a leader or recruit, but I like his ability on offense, which I think is critical on this hire.
