Yes this Football program should strive to attain the highest level possible. To launch this program we need a launching pad. We need to dominate THIS Conference and to start that could we please win an outright Championship just once? Something that we have never done since this Football Conference was founded.

Thankfully, there's actually going to be an outright champion from next year forward.

We'll have to beat App State (maybe twice) to get it, though.

UCF went from 0-12 to 13-0 and the Peach Bowl in what? 2 years?

When Robe walked in to interview here, he walked in with this pitch: Here's what I need you to provide me with for us to win the National Championship.

The goal of this program should be a New Year's Six bowl in 2 years.

The reason softball and baseball compete on a national level is because they have coaches who are capable and have vision. Still the case with the new hire in softball, passing the baton. Listen to the way they talk. We're competing for a national championship.

They'll never let us into the playoff. But make them tell you no to the New Year's Six at 13-0 or 12-1 (with the new SBC championship).

If the attitude is "it can't be done" it becomes a self fulfilling prophesy.

Is every "can be done" successful? No.

But every "successful" started with a "can be done."

Our goal should be national championship in every sport!! Even football!!! If you want to be big time you have to walk and talk big time! If you have swagger and do everything to bring about it... it can happen. There are glass ceilings right now but they can be broken! You need to carry a big stick and start knock off people in these "money" games! That is where you start and you build it from there! If you want to be the man you have to beat the man! That is all!

I️ got ya, guess what I️ meant was..at this point they are much further up the line than we are in that discussion.

Even with the last 3 years you know what is being said about UL? "What in Hel-l is going on down there?" "What are they waiting for?" I know that we struck a real blow hiring the consultant Mike Alden. That showed the powers that be the the school with "enormous potential" may finally be waking up.....

App State isn't bad. Though, I don't see anything special about them, and they are not the standard I want us to strive for. They are decent and can beat a bunch of SB teams. I looked for the past 3 to 4 years and they haven't beaten anyone of significance. They did lose to some other low FBS teams along the way though. Sure we need to develop talent, but it's been so poorly done at UL for the past 6 years, we will accept App State level, and I want us to reach higher.

One word..... Consistency.
