    Default Michael Smith?

Since we throwing names in a hat, what are y'all thoughts on Michael Smith.

He is a New Orleans native. Heavily recruited Louisiana for KState, Arizona, Rice, and recently Arkansas. He has coached and recruited under Bill Snyder, Bret Beilema, and Mike Stoops.

He has help 15 players at his position to the NFL, such as Darren Sproles and Kevin Lockett

This is his bio from Arkansas http://www.arkansasrazorbacks.com/coache/michael-smith/

I know he would like to be back living in Louisiana.

He has a very good resume but unfortunately he has not been a coordinator....I believe that's a must. Head Coaching experience and or Coordinator experience.

I believe that we need a head coach that can attract prospects above Sun Belt level. By that of course it would be nice to get 4 and 5 star rated prospects. You definitely recruit those prospects but We need to make hay with 3 star and 2 star level prospects. Now here's where you need a Head Coach and Staff that can evaluate and project. There are a lot of 3 star prospects that with proper training and Coaching by the time they are redshirt sophomores end up at a higher level of play. There are a lot of 2 star prospects that project as 3 or 4 star level players as redshirt sophomores.

If they were playing a team that came in with a 8-3 or 9-2 record and skulled dug at 63-14, then yes, they was like a machine. But Look who They Played. Some team called Louisiana, Ragin Cajuns or whatever.....

You say that like I haven't watched them multiple times. Their OL and DL are a machine plain and simple. They make very few technical mistakes. At times they get beat like every line but they are back doing same thing every down.

They also don't have any massive slow stiff guys up front like we do.

I agree Coordinator experience should be highly considered. I do like Smith history of recruiting well in Louisiana and developing talent.
