Thread: Kendal Briles should be pursued for Head Coach

Default Kendal Briles should be pursued for Head Coach

He's perfect for UL. He's the offensive coach now at FAU. He learned the offense under his Dad, which took UH to new heights. He is currently under Kiffen, an excellent offensive minded coach. He's attainable from a salary stand point. He's young and would surely desire the opportunity to right the Briles name and he wants a P5 job in the future. Just like at FAU, they have the ear of his Dad, which you may not like what he did at Baylor, but he is a hell of football coach. Kendal should not be held responsible for what happened at Baylor.

C4L and I have been on the Kendall Briles train for 2 years. I would love the hire.

    My ideal hires list:
    1 - Kevin Sumlin
    2 - Ken Briles
    3 - John Grass
4 - Troy Walters (UCF OC, Stanford Alum)
5 - Brett Venables (Clemson DC)

According to a lawsuit filed in January 2017, a Baylor graduate alleges she was gang raped by two football players in 2013. In addition, allegedly more than 50 instances of rape, committed by 31 football players, occurred between 2011 and 2014. The lawsuit alleges Kendal Briles, former Baylor assistant coach, encouraged these actions ...

Guilty by association? Don’t know enough about him to say one way or another.

Right now he’s destroying N Texas defense

Amid all of these allegations, no civil or criminal charges were ever filed against Art or Kendall Briles. How is that possible? I'm not suggesting we hire Art Briles, but if Kendal was vetted and good enough for FAU, he's good enough for Louisiana. JMO.

First, anyone, anywhere can be sued for anything. I don't know enough about his situation, but again, he was not found guilty of any criminal wrong doing by law enforcement as far a I can find and he was not responsible for the Baylor program.

Only have one question about this. We have never seen him work with the defensive coach. He has always worked with a strong offense coach. Has it ever truly been his offense? His dad and Lane kiffin are two of the best offensive minds in football.

Also would you be upset if his dad was his offensive coordinator, once he becomes a head coach

You can be ethically corrupt without criminal or civil liability. Bakylor was corrupt from the coaches, administration, to boosters.

Sure, but encouraging players to rape women? Hard one to believe.

You just described 80% of college coaches across all NCAA sports.

Then maybe we held Penn State to an unachievable standard. Clearly we’ve held Lotief too a standard too high. And on and on.
