App State doesn't run a pro style offense.

(Hud is currently still the head coach) Remember the rumor about the softball coach from West Florida?
The Brent Pry talk is very real, as I've heard this from multiple people on different sides of the sawce pile..

Fish, unless we are playing in the ACC, we are not in a conference with Clemson. Brent Venables is the current DC at Clemson. Kevin Steele is a former HC at Baylor and current DC at Alabama.

They play good defense and run the ball and have a real QB...call that whatever...successful would be a good word

He was James Franklin's assistant HC at Penn State and at Vanderbilt. That, to me, speaks volumes. I wouldn't be disappointed.

Tutored at Va Tech under a legendary coach. Tutored with Franklin at Penn State, and helped Franklin turn Vanderbilt from crap to bowl participant.

He’s been tutored by the best.

Absolutely not, he is certainly a qualified candidate.

I'm aware of that Express, just saying I'd be willing to talk to Venable and Steele as well if they are interested. BTW, both have won NC as defensive coordinators and presently recruit in Louisiana.

What works for App state, that they beat SB level schools? Look at their schedule and tell me the P5 team they beat or the top G5 for that matter. I'm talking about beating good teams. Not trying to be snotty, but just trying to make sure I'm clear. Not talking about beating SB teams, those are a given. Plus, do you know that App State head coach is from the offensive side?
