Actually I’ve said several times I️ don’t care which side of the ball he comes from and that’s is small minded to require one and eliminate a list of candidates from the other. No matter what side they come from they will lean on someone else for the other side. Find a good football coach who knows how to win...I️ don’t care if he wins every game 66-65 or 3-0...win. What did our offensive minded coach do with that nationally ranked defense? I’ll wait

I'm not sure we can "make a splash" with a "name" - I just don't know who we can get that has that kind of instant credibility with recruits. I think we'll have to earn the splash with a coach that proves he operates a dangerous offense. The skill cupboard is not bare. I'd love a "splash hire" to go along with a "great coach"... I just think it will be the guys football IQ that will turn things around at UL.

This may just be Hud's last game for the Cajuns. Looks like our team has quit.

I blame it on the character of the fans. We fans just didn't show up today in Boone.

Nothing. That's the point. As good of a defense as we had we had no offense to score points. In college football, you have to score points to win and typically have to score in the mid 30's and higher to consistently win. I don't care how good of a defense you have. Look at our conference. You have to outscore many of the teams to win a championship. Troy, ASU, App State even ULM have good offenses that our mid level teams will not be able to stop. You can hope to minimize their field position and turn them over but they will score.

I’m not going to debate you about offense and defense. But that defense we had last year wasn’t very good regardless of stats. USM quickly exposed it in the NOLA Bowl. Boise exposed it. We actually played some rather bad offenses. It’s best game of the year was against stAte. And that game was literally won on a review call we won by inches.
