Sumlin would be a homerun hire, but aren’t his defenses alway bad, even going back to his UH days? Our defense was atrocious this year and have almost zero team speed coming back. Just a concern if this happened.

The defense will be bad next year no matter who the coach is. The coach who can do the best job of bringing judo talent on D will be our best shot. Hopefully we can out score some people until the talent can get replenished

As long as Sumlin has not taken a job elsewhere, my hopes will remain high.
Saw Buckley's ridiculous "updated possible coaches list". Any list with Joe DeForest as a legit candidate is complete garbage. But he left out Sumlin, which gave me a chuckle.
