Gerald also made said on ESPN1420 last night that in most cases if a change has or has not been made, the coaches probably already know by now.

I think we should be sensitive to the situation those assistants find themselves in as many of us have undergone similar trials due to the energy industry downturns. I am not saying this should prevent us from making hard decisions. I am saying that we just need to consider the impact to others if a change is made. I know these guys realize these times are part of the deal of being involved in college coaching and they know they are often hired to be fired. That still does not make it easy to deal with people celebrating they lost their jobs. Once again let's be sensitive to the fact more people are impacted here than just Coach Hudspeth.
Mike, no one is celebrating the loss of jobs, from a personal standpoint. The fact is, these guys get paid to coach a game. The risk is their own, and they all know that.

If the Tennessee fanbase would have been 'sensitive' to their situation, Greg Schiano would be their head coach. Our supporters need to be aggressive and be heard. One of the many reasons we've been a bottom feeder in college athletics is because we've been too sensitive of a fanbase.

    Speak up, be heard.

I think all coaches realize that the day after they are hired, they are one day closer to being fired. It sucks, but that is how the coaching business works.

He resigned and is moving back to Texas. No controversy involved. He’s just leaving.

I know the coaching staff is aware of the gig they got into. I just think we should be sensitive to their situation if this unfolds the way many here believe it will. That does not mean we should not make a change if warranted. I know most here believe it is and it is hard to argue the point against that.
