He didn't say he doesn't write about the positives, he said he writes "more glowingly" about the misfortunes , which is hard to deny.

As much as some say you need to attend and show support for players if not the coach. Doing so in a lack of attendance is making things happen. Minor setback for a major comeback. This wouldn't happen with us averaging even 20k a game.

I actually heard Tuberville and the Mad Hatter are seriously being considered.

Tuberville .. that's below rock bottom he was awful at TT even more so at Cincy leaving those recruits at the restaurant will always haunt him

I would take Ricky Bustle before him

    It's an Advertiser thing.

Pre Buckley, when Easter Bunny drove a Caddy, The Advertiser assigned 5 different writers to drum up a non-story controversy.

I have a similar understanding. I originally was not sure about what his thinking might be.

It's just not something I want to be associated with or spend my money on with the current leadership.
I was as well. Saturday there were plenty of seats around me.... Just like bustles last game. The fans have spoken.

I was a HUD fan to say the least. Then I remember going to the first home game of the 2nd year, and told my wife, the stadium would be called Hudspeth Stadium some day. But while the cajuns had the same record that second year, I didn't see a better team than the previous year. I was expecting better and better. Then the 3rd year came, and our D was looking pretty bad and O was getting predictable. 4th Year, Now he has all his players, I knew we were going to be better, nope....further decline. 5th year, same old problems on defense and office and QB. All these years I kept, and so did everyone else on this board, believed the stadium would be filled and needed to build new stadium.....still further decline every year. I'm serious, when I think about his tenure, it really makes me sad. I don't like anyone to lose their job and have to change theirs and their family's life, but man, its time to part ways and say goodbye. It was great at first, but he was not able to make UL better in any year after the first successful year. I wish him the best, but I am so done with his coaching style and inability to make improvements. We need a change before we're left behind for decades.

If a change is made Hud will be fine financially. However all the assistant coaches and families are going through very stressful times right now. Gerald Broussard discussed this today with Scott Prather. I think we should be sensitive to the situation those assistants find themselves in as many of us have undergone similar trials due to the energy industry downturns. I am not saying this should prevent us from making hard decisions. I am saying that we just need to consider the impact to others if a change is made. I know these guys realize these times are part of the deal of being involved in college coaching and they know they are often hired to be fired. That still does not make it easy to deal with people celebrating they lost their jobs. Once again let's be sensitive to the fact more people are impacted here than just Coach Hudspeth.
