Do you seriously think that 1, 2 or even 12 people posting on here... "berating" Hud... constitutes character failures of "the fan base"? Hud isn't concerned about those people anyway. He is talking about the 30,000 fans he expects to show up and support him... no matter how well he does. It's a hilarious diversionary tactic.

Hud almost took other coaching offers... and got us to seriously bump up his pay. And even when Farmer voluntarily gave him a golden contract... did you ever hear Hud say that it wasn't him that deserved the money... and to pay the players and fans? Heck no. He's been taking credit for everything done that got him the money. Now it's not him... but the players and fans... that need to step it up... to return to glory? Get real.

I'm not defending Hudspeth about lecturing fans...I can't believe he didn't learn his lesson the first time...this is purely about fans behavior towards losing...as far as this being a message board...wouldn't fans posting things on boards alike that apparently they aren't saying in public be a reflection of character?

I know what Hud was talking about... I just expanded on it....as far as contract goes...you yourself have stated numerous times here he got the contract he deserved-At the time...that's irrelevant anyway because we're not talking about Huspdeths character here...we're/I am talking fans character specifically...which by the way...you're always respectable in posting...why don't you call him names??

You are correct... I did feel he earned the contract he got. I was very surprised by the turn of events in our program. And I don't call him or many other people "names" because it's not my style. I actually think name calling is ineffective communication. Most of what you could say and convey gets disregarded once you resort to calling people names.

But what's it to you mother______? Haha... I just wrote underlines. LOL

Why would any one want this job? It is a proven coaches grave yard. If you disagree with that statement show me evidence where i am wrong.

Coaches grave yard you say? We have a zombie coach who is pretty much a ghost when it comes to coaching ability. Now with 30 other former coach's players he is marginally respectable.

Yep. You made my point. Check his head coaching record before he got here and his first years here. He's just another victim of this program. The grim reaper that is the USL / UL program has caught up with him. Another good coach taken at the hands of this program.

Hud had the opportunity to go elsewhere as a head coach when he was winning here. You cannot compare our past history and what happened when we established the RCAF and got serious about paying what we pay for a head coach. And under Hud, we had coaches/staff move on to better jobs.

Until the last vestiges of Ray Authement and his putrid legacy is gone, we will struggle.

Are you talking about Tulane of CUSA at the time? That would of been a lateral move at best. Hud just used that to get a raise.

My original statement was simple with no yea buts attached. This is a football coaching grave yard for head coaches. If you can show evidence of that statement being wrong let's see it. Any young up and coming coach who would come here is committing career suicide.
