Thread: Who would fit and what style as UL head football coach?

Even if he doesn't get a P5 HC gig, he could take a high profile OC job for the same amount we'd be able to pay him.
No. No. and No. Thanks for not reading any of the thread and repeating everything we’ve already discussed. Sumlin is in play, regardless of what you may think.

I may get hung for this one but how about an offensive coordinator from the SEC with a top 10 offense. Josh Heupel from Missouri.

Read the whole thread. It's still totally unrealistic. Sumlin WILL get a more high profile job and won't have to "settle" for a resume rebuild.

Hey as long as we're going for retreads who won't win a press conference, Les Miles is available.

I have always liked Heupel as a coach. Missouri’s offense has never been the problem. This whole Missouri connection is stupid anyway. If he interviews well and wants the job, I’d be fine with the hire. He’s still pretty young too, IIRC.

Why would you be hung? I don't see why we shouldn't inquire into the former Sooner.

Sumlin May get a P5 job, but don’t sit there and tell me he’s unrealistic. He’s not. Lane Kiffin went to FAU. Ex NFL coach... to FAU. And he was a hot name at the time.

I still consider him a Sooner, but yes there would be a few that would jump off the roof.

Another OC I like is Eliah Drinkwitz from NC State. Was previously OC at Arkansas State and Boise under Bryan Harsin.

He's been successful at a few stops but he will always be a sooner.
