But I think you have to consider where he is today (and the road taken) and make a logical assumption he has matured a lot as a DC and asst HC over that time.
If he comes here we can only hope he picks a quality OC and lets him do his job.

Not arguing against his current resume, just pointing out facts to Turbine's best ever claim.

Hold on now I didn't say "best ever" I said "the defense was the best in years."

In 2006 it had been about a dozen years since Vic Eumont.

Okay, but that's a very low bar.

Would Les Miles even be an option? You hear his name surface from time to time for jobs but it never seems to get much traction. Would more years in the LA retirement system help him? Dude is an unbelievable recruiter and motivator. Players develop under him and play hard for him. I also think he’s a competent enough x and o guy for the SBC although that is not his forte. Most of that is on the coordinators anyway.

If he wanted to get back into coaching this could be a good stepping stone. And he would most definitely win the press conference.

Today I woke up with hope of a new era and the names Houston, Grass, and Yurcich dancing in my head.

Going to be a lot of disappointed people if Hud is not fired. Next few weeks will be interesting to say the least. If nothing happens in the next few days then that means they don't have enough money. Then we have to wait til after Dec. 31 to see the difference between speculation, rumor and reality.

All I know is that if Hud is retained for 2018 I get to upgrade my seats. I’m not quitting, but others are.

well then, our football program will be nothing but a lower level southland conference team if change does not happen. If we not there yet that is...
