So he was playing for a tie basically. He wanted 17 points to tie the game. He DID NOT want 21 points to win!!!!!!!

After a 34-24 loss to Georgia Southern on Saturday night that did some serious damage to UL’s postseason hopes, forcing it to win next Saturday at Appalachian State to go bowling, Ragin’ Cajuns coach Mark Hudspeth took some time for explaining on several fronts.
Got no problem not taking points off board. Old school unwritten rule.
However, I do have problems with not owning this proverbial floater in the punch bowl of a season and throwing players under the bus. Really hurts recruiting. That may be a stretch of a technical reason (not supporting the program) for dismissal.
How much time left when the penalty occurred?
Playin for the tie is one thing.
Problem is it leaves the team in the wrong gear to win.
The message is, 'we are playing not to lose'
I don't think a team down by 3 scores can afford to play "not to lose" that's what scared teams in the lead are known to do.
Downshifting the teams mentality to 2nd gear at that point is a momentum lock.

Lol! This dude is a joke right now! Bring back bustle at least we can win 6 games paying him 250G a year and save 750G lol! It would be nice if Dr. Maggard would send him a video with Trump saying "you're Fired!!!!" Lol! App state is probably going to embarrass us lol!
Yea, inexcusable then, if it was 5 min left in game it's the right call
