UL Basketball WBB Final: Louisiana 53, Dillard 60

Let that sink in. Totally unacceptable. Got beat in every phase of the game.

Now any NCAA bid comes down to the tournament for sure on the women's side.

That's an understatement. We were down 2 at half, meaning we got out scored both halves by a NAIA program. In what was classified as an “exhibition game” for Dillard.

It was hard to watch. I’ll admit I don’t go to every women’s game, but tonight was just another night of can’t shoot worth a flip I’ve seen the last several years.

  8. Ragin' Cajuns Women Lose To Dillard At Home

A double-double from sophomore Kimberly Burton and 14 points from sophomore Malachi Seraphin-Williams wasn't enough for the Louisiana Ragin' Cajuns women's basketball team as they fell to the Dillard Bleu Devils 60-53 here at the Cajundome.

  9. UL Basketball Cajuns suffer humbling loss

On the night before Thanksgiving, UL women’s basketball coach Garry Brodhead wasn’t feel much gratitude after his Ragin’ Cajuns suffered a 60-53 setback at the hands of NAIA Dillard of New Orleans on Wednesday in the Cajundome.

Most disappointing performance to date by a Coach Brodhead coached squad. Last few games they simply are not scoring enough. I know they have a freshman point guard so some growing pains were to be expected. Just not this severe.

Totally unacceptable. This is what eventually happens when you schedule down to pad your record. It comes back to bite you in the azz. No D1 team should ever lose to any NAIA team. As a D1 team you can accept getting beat by top 50, even top 150, teams, but any D1 coach whose team loses to an NAIA school should be fired before he leaves the court. There is a reason kids play NAIA basketball... they aren't good enough for D1 or D2.
