Maybe they looked at our average attendance and said they did not want only 50 people including the band there!

I'd go with a combination of the conference pointing to our smaller crowds the past few years. We're counting chickens too soon.

I thought the NOB was forced to take the conference champs every so many years?

Jay must have called some of his contacts to get that info as he is traveling back to town today with the basketball team. They are probably not home yet. With the game at 12 on Dec. 16 and the Cajuns having been there so often, they likely figured a team who had not been to New Orleans previously might be a better draw.

    1st - Dollar General Bowl
    4 Hour drive to Mobile
    Warmer weather
    Primetime Saturday slot
    Still in recruiting footprint
Smaller venue, just in case we
    dont get a great turnout.

    2nd - Camelia Bowl
    8 hours to Montgomery
    Primetime Saturday slot

Both are nice places to visit.

Lots of talk about where we'll bowl before we're eligible to bowl. I hope the coaches and players don't feel like it's a done-deal.

I have no problem seeing us play anywhere, but do think the quality of the opponent should also be a strong consideration if we had the chance to pick our spot.
