And with this great hire, there's still goons on social media talking about how the university lost a great coach in ML. Seriously, I hope these couillions don't work in HR.
I have no problems with the people who like Mike, and there is no question he was a great Softball Coach (based on wins and losses). But to think that Dr. Savoie, Dr, Maggard and this University would fire one of the most successful Softball Coaches in the country for no legitimate reason is ludicrous!
The problem that I have the most is that people are totally ignoring allegations that are sickening just because he won games. Penn State went through the same thing a few years ago with Joe Pa. Obviously, this isn't as bad; but to be blinded of abuse because of a few wins and to actually think that the university is on some phantom witch hunt is hilarious and sad at the same time. It also gives the rest of our fan base a bad name.
But with that said, I like Coach Glasco and what he brings to our program. Come February, I will be at Lamson Park cheering on our girls to victory.
I don't think they are necessarily ignoring them. I think it's somewhat confusing when you have other players saying they were there at the time of some of the accusations involving players and that the accounts were not the same. Whether right or wrong, I understand how some would question this, and this doesn't make them trolls.
Since I haven't seen the video of the encounter with the trainer, but I trust that the university HR department handled this as it should have within the established rules of conduct. It would have been better if that was the only statement from the university and we would probably have had a lot less issues. JMO
