That’s good news. I hope they will help sell him to the current players.

Thank goodness. This is an employee/employer situation, time to move on.

He may have contacts in prime recruiting areas, but Lotief seldom went after the big name players that other major colleges wanted. He went after the players that fit his style of play and that had the capability and want to learn his system. UL is not a destination school for the big name studdettes.

Now don't get me wrong, UL has produced all-american players, but they weren't the highly recruited players coming out of high school. So will our new head coach go after the big time studdettes or will he go after the same high quality players coach Lotief went after, the ones that had will and determination to succeed but not the physical traits to get highly recruited.

    Here's wishing him the best.

I just trolled the new coaches fb page. He likes to bird hunt, and there was a picture of him with Sarah Draheim, our former catcher and asst coach.

I think this is a great hire! If the existing team won't play for him then move on!

All that and only 1 win in Oklahoma City. If he goes after big time recruits and lands them and leads us to better performances in Oklahoma City, then the right call was made with Glasco.

On paper, I'm very impressed. Maggard obviously 1) did his homework, 2) networked with individuals associated with the program but were not caught up in the drama, and 3) purged the swamp to borrow a phrase for a clean start and 4) didn't "Bubba" it.
