Actually, it wouldn't, but it would be a "name" hire which I think would help very much in maintaining current future commitments as well as possibly bringing some who are not currently interested.
Mike is a top hitting coach, and was able to teach a power hitting style to players who had the stature to take advantage of it. The downside was you could recruit against it by saying to top hitters he will change your swing when you get there. Additionally, other than Ashley Brignac we were never able to sign top high school pitchers. I would say who Habetz would hire as assistants would play a big part in maybe stopping that trend. JMO
T....we were inducted into the UL H of F I think in 2004......She asked me for a private discussion and I guess knowing I knew some UL administrators, asked how could she get back here....the family you could tell were of the very close German type...I just told her to keep doing what she was doing, not having any idea of the softball world....oh but what a lovely classy lady....we should be so lucky!!!
