Oh no! They can't have it both ways. The whole premise of LL starting was that he knew the playbook better than any QB on the roster. And per LL, he was "the best QB you have here".

Yes, just like Jennings knew more of the playbook than Davis after being on campus one week. He doesn't even try to use a new story, just the same narrative.

It's called "pocket presence" and it's something that can't be taught....I had a friend at the game who has been in football at all levels and has a large amount of experience in recruiting and scouting. He told me that this kid has "eyes in the back od his head". He also said something that unless you were at the game you did not get to see. "I love his sideline demeanor". That's the only question I have left: I mean, I get it that he is requesting to play this year because he won't be here the last year, yadda yadda yadda. But didn't they know this just as well from game one? Maybe they were just hoping to get the last year out of him any way?

I disagree with this completely. His absence has affected us but what I see run on offense is completely different from what we ran at the start of the season, and that includes plays and series that Mitchell was not in the game.
