It all boils down to the head coach's preferences. He is an athlete worshiper. Look how much he goes on and on about the "broken play ability" of LL. Coach, that's like maybe 10% of the plays. "Broken play" QB's always get hurt. Playbooks always get simplified. Guys lose confidence. And, the cycle repeats as the head coach looks to the bench for the next gifted athlete to play QB.
Hence, the offense will always regress with Hudspeth at the wheel.
I don't think Lewis was here in spring ball. I think he was here for summer workouts. Summer school is another reason a guy can graduate in 3 1/2 years. Recall Brooks Haack did it which allowed him to transfer to Northwestern State after it became likely he would not start in 2016.
