There will be no shortage of qualified head coach candidates wanting the job. Lady Cajun Softball brings a lot of pride to the university. Softball also loses money, despite its fan support. I see no reason to break the budget with a new hire.

That's where you and I disagree. In the SBC, you must finish in the Top 14 in RPI to host. Your conference opponents pretty much drag your RPI down. Would you wait for an SEC job or take a SBC job when she could have interviewed for the LSU? Makes very little sense to me.

Maybe she hates LSU as much as the rest of us? Just sayin......

It’ll lose a lot more money with a bad hire. If we start winning 2/3 of our games I could see a 70% drop in revenue. Of course money is a limiting factor, but get the best available.

This feels more like the USL death penalty. We’re losing a coach under bad ethical issues. We’ve got a large segment of our players thinking about leaving. This isn’t anything like LTUR picking the wrong coach as the legend left.

My opinion is in order to attract a top notch coach with a proven track record at the colligate level and the national prominence of our program has established the new coach's salary should be in the neighborhood of 100k a year.
