Works for me.
Fingers crossed. Would make the most sense.
Ease the transition.
Other than Alyson Habetz, here are some others that might make great coaches:
Lana Bowers, ex Cajun, coaches at BRCC
Kyla Hall Holas, started the UH team, ex Cajun and currently an asst at Chicago Bandits
Andy Lee, Head Coach at LSU-E.. His record is 481-81. impressive
James Landreneau, Head Coach at McNeese, he's done a great job there. Robe came from Mcneese..
What are your thoughts...
If only....maybe perhaps she can convince local native and former bama assistant, Lacy Prejean to join her staff.
This will be a sought after position. I say go with experience at the major level. No need to get an upstart coach, from smaller schools. Go with experienced assistants, former coaches that have had previous success. There may not be a large pool to choose from, though, unless we pluck a coach from their current team. Not sure how that works in softball.
I want no part of Kayla Hall Hollis here at UL, she had her own issues at Houston and couldn't win consistently with more funding. The rest seem reasonable interviews if they are interested. Whoever is the new coach, he or she will have a rebuilding project on hand, replace a mumber of transfers and build new financial support in the community.
Hall or Habetz
High hopes huge headcoach hire.
(A nod to Turbine)
I want someone who can recruit too. Kyla Hall Holas would be a strong pick. The LSU-E isn’t a bad grab either. 5 National JC championships is pretty solid.
Cliff, I will post this one more time for you guys that continually bring up Habetz. She is not interested period. She has stated so recently and several family members told a few people this wek the same. She turned down an interview at LSU after Pat Murphy declined the job. She wants to stay at Alabama in the SEC and I can't see her here in Lafayette at Lotief's last salary.
