Twice as much. The Michigan coach makes about $500K and the Oklahoma coach just signed a new five year deal for $925K.

Carol Hutchins has been at Michigan for 32 years. Patty Gasso, 24 years with 4 Nat. Champs to show. I believe that. Wonder what Tim Walton (Florida) makes?

I got one. thinking outside the box Les Stuedeman Head Coach UA-Huntsville.
http://www.uahchargers.com/coaches.aspx?rc=114 Also she is making 90k at UAH so she is in our price range

Her sister is also the softball coach at Miss St.

974-311-1, think she has over 1,000 career wins now. Averaged 47 wins a season

I would assume you probably won't get the hitting coach that Mike was which enabled him to take lesser recruited players and "coach them up". That being said, any new coach would have to improve our recruiting a good bit to stay where we are. I don't think Alyson is a hitting coach, but I think she could be a good recruiter. I would have qualms about a D2 coach being a big recruiter at a high D1 level. What I think has kept us from winning a NC is high level pitchers, so maybe a head coach who could recruit pitchers and an assistant who is a hitting coach. I still think we'll need to increase our softball coaches salary total into the $250K to $275K range at minimum to draw a good staff from our present structure of around $175K to $200K. JMO

Gator baseball coach is the highest paid. Period. Guessing softball is not far behind.

Don't do it? lol lmfao. I know you are joking. It is sad that it has come to this, we are a top 25 program, one of the only mid-major Division I-A programs that can even sniff the Women's College World Series. It is sad that we are even going through this searching process.

If there is one program that separates us from the rest it is Softball. We need to find the candidate that keeps us on the same track that Lotief and Yvette did.

We need to get someone that has had previous success at the College Ranks. I am always of the mindset that when you search for coaches that we are in the middle of the pack. We need to go after coaches that have been successful at lesser schools. Coaching is Coaching, and if you can coach then you can coach you will be successful at any level. If we have to reach down and get the best Division II softball coach. Same goes for the Coach at LSUE. The fact that he has won 4 National Championships he at the very least should be considered
