The Louisiana Ragin' Cajuns men's basketball team gets closer to its official 2017-18 opener when it plays host to Millsaps in an exhibition game on Thursday at the Cajundome.

Louisiana, which finished 21-12 last year under head coach Bob Marlin, returns four starters and 10 letterwinners from last year's team. Second-team Preseason All-Sun Belt Conference performer Bryce Washington finished as the only player in the league last season to average a double-double, scoring 13.5 points while grabbing a league-best 11.2 rebounds per game.
Frank Bartley, the 2017 SBC Newcomer of the Year, averaged 15.3 points per game for the Ragin' Cajuns with Justin Miller (11.1 ppg.) and Johnathan Stove (9.1 ppg.) returning from the starting lineup.
P.J. Hardy (5.4 ppg.), Jerekius Davis (4.8 ppg.), Kadavion Evans (3.0), Larenz Stalcup (1.3 ppg.), Mason Aucoin (1.0 ppg.) and Jacob Broussard (1.0 ppg.) are other returning players for Louisiana with a trio of Division I transfers – JaKeenan Gant (Missouri), Malik Marquetti (USC) and Marcus Stroman (South Carolina) – along with freshmen Cedric Russell and Elijah McCoy all set to make their debut for the Ragin' Cajuns.
Louisiana will officially tip off the season on Nov. 10 at Ole Miss before opening its home schedule on Nov. 14 against Louisiana College.
