Was a two-year started for head coach Mark Elam.

Saw time at every position on the offensive line but center and also played defensive tackle

Was an All-District second-team honoree at tight end as a junior and was a unanimous All-District first team selection on the offensive line as a senior

Was team captain and earned All-Area second team honors as a senior.

Was a one-year letterman in basketball as a post player for head coach Jerry Stone and helped lead the Yellowjackets to a district championship and a berth in the state quarterfinals

Team finished season 33-2

Averaged five pancakes per game and set school records
with 55 pancakes one season and 107 during his career.

Was also a member of National Honor Society, Non-Users, Non-Abusers, Drug-Free Youth in Texas and Peer Assistant Leadership.
