Thread: Starting UL's Nunez now is easy, tough call comes later

  1. UL Football Starting UL's Nunez now is easy, tough call comes later

After a 66-42 early September loss at Tulsa in which first-year starter Jordan Davis impressed with his arm and his legs, UL coach Mark Hudspeth beamed as he declared, "I think we found us a quarterback."

For the second time in back-to-back outings, backup Andre Nunez came off the bench and was impressive himself – and this time, unlike the first, the Ragin’ Cajuns walked away with a win.

The article said if Nunez fails simply replace him with JD. Don't believe that JD is like Jake Delhomme. He's more like Brooks who has a fragile ego and needs stroking. If he was healthy and looked so bad it had to be the heat Nunez was bringing

Hope you are wrong, JD will get another shot, whether it's an injury or bad play, hopefully he will be ready.

So much was made about his attitude change under our new OC. Clearly this young man needs lots of emotional support. Sorry if I base my view on Jake,Babb, Mike Des, and Gauthier.

Maybe Nunez continues to play well and goes through the season without injury. That is something we all hope occurs. Granted, odds are against that occurring.

The odds say that JD will get another chance at some point. To quote Robe, lets see if he works while he waits.

I was impress the way JD looked prior to this injury. I would think that he exceeded most of everyone's expectations on this board.

Guys, I know I’m the village idiot here when it comes to football, but my only hope is that the program isn’t hiding or downplaying any injuries of players in exchange for winning...
