Good point, Turbine.
BS, I believe both losses to Texas was against the same Pitcher. BTW, I'm hearing that if Yvette doesn't take this team to the World Series, she will be on the hot seat.

I heard from a close source to the program that it is likely that they will shut Ashley down this year and medical redshirt her. The University hasn't made an official decision though - expect to hear that the first week of March.
It isn't a done deal, but don't expect to seein the circle this Spring.
Where does talk like that start? Yvette is one of the finest coaches in the country. LSU knows that. Everyone in the SEC knows that. Anyone in the country that follows softball knows how good Yvette is, and LSU is very lucky to have her.
Let Yvette go somewhere else and they will have a top 25 team overnight. Softball is becoming more balanced across the nation and it is the one "major sport" where the national champion can come from any conference. Getting to the world series is often a simple matter of luck in how you are placed in the regionals.
Take my word for it, Yvette is at LSU for as long as she wants to be at LSU.
""Take my word for it, Yvette is at LSU for as long as she wants to be at LSU.""
I agree.
Besides Football, Men's Basketball, and Baseball, LSU coaches stay as long as they want. Although I have expected a little more from Yvette, I think last year was her best Coaching year at LSU. Pitching was at High School level.
At this point in the season, UL looks much better than LSU, particularly pitching and the top 2 or 3 hitters...The game against Michigan Saturday has me intrigued.
