The point of the branch of the thread was why we would choose to NOT associate ourselves with a school (in this case Liberty). A case was made that the school's "wackadoodle" (not my word) views on certain scientific teachings should be reason enough for us to not associate with them. Others made the point(s) that lots of schools have what different people would consider "wackadoodle" ideas and we should base who we play in a sport (football in this case) on athletics and leave the rest out. Being forums of this nature lend themselves to free form discussions that often tanget, sometimes you get the last few pages. They are easily ignored or not read by the uninterested, and often lead to interesting exchanges of ideas. And sometimes even some impressive name calling and creative insults. So, not all bad.

A group of public institutions has decided together to not associate themselves with a private institution. Sounds pretty simple to me.

Those member schools are allowed to schedule them for athletic events but that's it. And I'm good with that decision.

Be terrified of both sides of the coin. The gun toting fear mongers from the right who yell "Jesus take the wheel" as they careen into a group of protestors, or the Antifa led spineless mob that blanket everyone not in their little group think tank as a Nazi and treats them like it violently...and in the most cowardly way possible. That's what a truly divisive media and political machine will do to people.

Universities, whether they like it or not, are at the epicenter of this ____ quake. They engorge themselves on liberal rhetoric and force feed it into their students without pause, causing some students to rebel and think Donald Trump is what America needs to be great again. Then they go out in the world...both willfully ignorant of how a human is supposed to act...and here...we...are.
