Well Bear, if one is to believe that major changes are coming to college football played at the G5 level (count me in this group), then the question is will we be better-positioned to take maximum advantage of those changes as a member of the Sunbelt or as an independent? I honestly see those as the two most likely circumstances at this point.
I hope our AD is thinking outside the box versus our old way of thinking which was, we can't do that here.
As for the logic of, we shouldn't do something because others haven't tried it, well, that almost sounds un-American to me.
Liberty hired Baylor's AD. It sickens me that a "Christian" university would hire the AD of another "Christian" university that was run out of town after a horrendous record of turning a blind eye to sexual assault, drug use, violence, etc. How do those things fit with the teachings of Christ?
Liberty can go f-off. Baylor too.
IMHO the 2020 schedule for the first four games looks positive. September is usually a mixed bag anyway. This one sets up better than most Septembers at Cajun Field. Plus playing Miss State at Superdome is new twist to kick off 2020 season, capturing more attention than normal. All seems fan friendly, especially if we return to winning football beginning now. That might be too much to ask, but not too much to expect.
Speaking of phrases... someone left me an odd post rating. They gave me a "red dot"... but then added "Good For You". That seemed odd. They give me a "red dot"... but put "GFY". Why would they tell me "Good For You"... under a red dot?
That was their entire comment... GFY - obviously the acronym for "Good For You" - but they left no username so that I could thank them for the encouraging words.
