No everyone is living in the real world. Again why does Notre Dame have an agreement with the ACC if scheduling is so easy?

Probably because they hadn't heard about this new internet thing, you know how the Catholic Church can be.

    6 on the road.

Alternating between 2, 3, and 4 appearance fees per year, average 3.

Hone and home for the rest will be easy, they all still have to fill out a schedule almost 100 non P5 schools to choose from.

If you win they want to play you for respect and potentially an upset. If you lose they want to play you to pad their schedule.

Everyone is living in fear of pre-internet 1997.
Want a case study in independent football at the G5 level? Look at UMass. 0-6 already on the year. No chance at a conference championship and no chance at a bowl game. You think that would work here? RCAF money would dry up fast.

Why do people want to bring their identity politics into sports? Oh, because the left finds it fashionable to discriminate on college campuses regardless of federal dollars.

Look, I don't believe that dinosaurs existed 2,000 years ago anymore than I believe a male can transition and become female. Neither can be proven scientifically. Both are irrelevant when deciding which programs make your conference more financially stable. It's about money, not about belief systems or ideology for that matter. It is about financial stability!

I noticed you ignored the fact that Notre Dame has a scheduling agreement with the ACC because it does not fit your narrative. Why would the most successful independent in the history of college football, with almost unlimited resources, need to have an agreement with the ACC to schedule football games?

You keep up the good fight and you will be sitting in the stadium by yourself if it ever happened. I do not want to see southland conference softball, maybe baseball.

Just curious, how many season tickets do you have for softball and baseball?
Southland is a red herring argument.

A few years ago without the #1 out of conference schedule in the country UL softball would have been a 16 seed.

Right now UL sports teams have to do everything in their power "out of conference" (The INDEPENDANT part of their schedule) to overcome the weakness of the Sun Belt.

ps The ACC made ND an offer as a means of future enticement. If being a full fledged Conference member of the conference was the best move, they would already be in. Good teams + automatic scheduling = good move.

Bad teams + automatic scheduling = bad move.

    Biggest loss by 10.

I will be able to judge them better after the Sun Belt portion of their schedule.

I believe the "Geaux Independent" crowd have successfully been vanquished with this post.

All I can say is wow. We would not have been a 16 seed in the SLC.

Please send me what ever you are smoking I really need to get high after reading this.

Again, just curious, how many season tickets do you have for softball and baseball?

Give me this deal and we can talk all other talk is foolish.

    https://www.usatoday.com/story/sport...ime/326356001/

"The Fighting Irish play five member schools every season. Last week the conference announced all of Notre Dame's future ACC opponents through 2037.

Notre Dame has maintained its independence because of its television contract with NBC, which runs through 2025. NBC reportedly pays the school $15 million annually."
