I noticed you ignored the fact that Notre Dame has a scheduling agreement with the ACC because it does not fit your narrative. Why would the most successful independent in the history of college football, with almost unlimited resources, need to have an agreement with the ACC to schedule football games?

You keep up the good fight and you will be sitting in the stadium by yourself if it ever happened. I do not want to see southland conference softball, maybe baseball.

Just curious, how many season tickets do you have for softball and baseball?
I believe the "Geaux Independent" crowd have successfully been vanquished with this post.

Right now UL sports teams have to do everything in their power "out of conference" (The INDEPENDANT part of their schedule) to overcome the weakness of the Sun Belt.

ps The ACC made ND an offer as a means of future enticement. If being a full fledged Conference member of the conference was the best move, they would already be in. Good teams + automatic scheduling = good move.

Bad teams + automatic scheduling = bad move.
All I can say is wow. We would not have been a 16 seed in the SLC.

Please send me what ever you are smoking I really need to get high after reading this.

Again, just curious, how many season tickets do you have for softball and baseball?

They're also desperately looking for a conference..

Give me this deal and we can talk all other talk is foolish.

"The Fighting Irish play five member schools every season. Last week the conference announced all of Notre Dame's future ACC opponents through 2037.

Notre Dame has maintained its independence because of its television contract with NBC, which runs through 2025. NBC reportedly pays the school $15 million annually."

Because I am invested in those programs you want to kill by going independent. Y'all ignore the simple fact that we do not have a conference to move to for those sports.

Now you know why it's only 5 games.

Already they had to take Michigan and Michigan State, off their schedule as an every year opponent.

It will be interesting to see the relative NBC numbers in 2026.

The independent portion of the diamond sports schedules is the only thing keeping them alive.

I repeat as an example: When UL softball had the #1 ranked RPI in the country (OOC) the Sun Belt schedule prevented them from hosting. If you removed the out of conference schedule completely they would have been a 16 seed that year. Based on Sun Belt weakness.
