It’s going to be a cold, blue world for some of you if we don’t get another coach. I have trouble seeing UL coughing up the money. Look at the dissatisfaction expressed toward the basketball program and how long he’s been there.

Basketball hasn't been caught cheating. Cal the NCAA sanctions did far more damage than the actual loss of numbers. There's now very effective negative recruiting going on against UL.

I don't think our next coach is getting a guaranteed seven figure contract.

As for me I'm not in favor of hiring someone for six figures that I wouldn't be willing to hire for seven figures. IOW if I'm not willing to pay candidate A seven figures I'm not giving him six unless experience dictates the lower figure.

Additionally Les isn't working for six.

Splash only works on press conference day. If we'd hire Les over a competent coach bc it was a splash I'd quit and focus on baseball.

Hire the best coach regardless of name. Wins will bring more fans than a splash ever would.

Hiring Les would be a lot like Ditka by the Saints. A complete fail.
