New UL football coach (wishlist)

Basketball has not won at a level needed to maintain strong interest from the community. However, they have had 4 winning seasons in a row while Football is likely to have 3 straight losing seasons. Football leadership is a greater concern.

That is very true. My biggest issue with Bobby Big fish is that we do not win enough and out scheduling sucks.

He's a much better HC than he was a position coach.

And in reality, he's about where he belongs (for now). I'd like to see him back at UL helping with recruiting... but I don't see a likely path back for him.

Come on! Killed? I like the path Marlin and the B-ball team are on. Good players coming in with a challenging schedule this year. It's gonna be a lot of fun this year in the dome!

No we don't need a splash. It's not about winning the press conference. It's about finding someone who can win.

I completely disagree. This programs fan base is gone, depleted. Excitement must be generated with the next hire to bring some of those people back. Yes, he must be able to coach and recruit as well.

Splash only works on press conference day. If we'd hire Les over a competent coach bc it was a splash I'd quit and focus on baseball.

Hire the best coach regardless of name. Wins will bring more fans than a splash ever would.

You’re wrong imo. We need a really good coach. A guy who can outcoach the opposition. We done need another ra ra name guy.

Only 1 person can be a great head coach...you have 130 other options on the team to find a ra ra guy...you can have several on each side of the ball
