On the James Willis front, it’s a desperation move. We will still finish the season at best 4-8, most likely 2-10.
I see 2 more wins unless hud pulls something out his ___ ... Texas state & GS
Louisiana Ragin' Cajuns head football coach Mark Hudspeth announced during his weekly press conference on Monday that former defensive coordinator James Willis is rejoining the program as a defensive analyst.
So Greg Stewart's defense at Central Arkansas only allowed Southeastern 6 points. SLU had more that 6 points against us in the first 5 minutes of the game.
Last game he coached for us was the bowl game against Nevada. Defense was dominant in that game. Of course that squad had a lot more defensive talent than this one does. I see no harm in this move and it can't hurt None of the coaches on this staff are being replaced at this point. If Willis finds something by studying film which helps puts people in proper position, maybe slight improvement can occur. I don't know if anything more than that can be expected due to the personnel on that side of the ball.
