Hope that is just coach speak and they are considering red shirting McCoy.
Plan now is to redshirt Elijah McCoy. He could help us in a year or two. Can't coach someone to be 6'9"
Has skills, athletic ability, and a good citizen Mike?
Marlin should be on the hottest of hot seats. 500k a year and only 1 NCAA appearance in 7 years. To me if he doesn't make it this year he needs to be gone
So to the basketball prognosticators-do we have the potential to be really good this year? The team kind of jumps out at you on paper.
Sweet 16 team.
Well, looking through my rose colored glasses this is the next sports team up. We have talent and fingers crossed that Marlin has his best coaching performance coming up. On paper, this should be his best team. No excuses this year.
Basketball really needs to step up for the athletic department after all this football acrimony just 1/3 through the season.
Exactly the depth is there but how this team plays together is key. There seemed to be pretty good chemistry last year and I think it helps that the 3 transfers were part of that team, however them getting game minutes could change things. I am interested in seeing how Marlin uses that depth. I really hope Bryce Washington isn't playing 35+ minutes a game as that took a toll last year. Filling Jay Wrights shoes will be a big task as I don't think many realize how much he will be missed. That will be on either Stroman or a combination of Stroman and Russell. I hope the staff can get guys like Miller, Davis, and maybe even Russell to buy into being role players on this years team and develop into stronger upperclassmen.
