In a bit of interesting news, Scott Farmer has resigned his current position at UL to take the AD position at Texas Odessa College (I think that is the correct name). I want to take the opportunity to wish him a long successful stay in Odessa and a sincere thanks for the facility improvements here at UL.

Early this month when USA Today quoted Scott Farmer extensively about money games, I suspected he was marketing himself.

Odessa is near Midland and they are rolling in oil money now. The Permian Basin projects are much more viable at $50/bbl than the Gulf of Mexico projects.

I'm in Odessa at least once a month these days. I've visited the UT-Odessa campus (that's the only campus I've ever seen in Odessa)to check it out. It's small but it's very nice. Everything is practically brand new. One neat thing of note about their campus is that they've got a life size replica of Stonehenge that you can visit.

It is for coaches. Terry Don Phillips actually left here as AD for a bigger job. No coach has ever done that.
