He has probably been the most successful coach in Idaho since the cajuns started playing them years ago. I da ho is not a very easy place to recruit to. He would have way more talent closer to home here than in there.

Is this a coach worth looking at?

Plus Beau Baldwin is only making $570k at Cal as OC. $650k here would be a huge pay raise.

John Grass is making $251k if he reaches all of his bonus criteria.

Then give them a salary pool for assistants that would be competitive with the upper echelon of the G5.

Making $570k in Lafayette, La instead of Berkeley, CA would be a huge pay raise.

I agree 100000%, the entire pay structure of the staff should be revamped.
Does anyone have the pay disparity handy to post?

Cajun coaching staff = Saints Roster (minus the dead money).
One dude, making all the money makes it hard to spread around the quality of hire around them.

I don't think our next coach will make as much as hud on day one. What is the number we should start at here. Can't start at a million makes it hard to give raises for success

Assistant pool was around $1,000,000 last I had heard. Coordinators were around $150K with assistants ranging from $120K down to $100K. Before Jay Johnson left, he was around $200K.

Base salary IMO should be between $575-$675k with bonus money tied to certain standards being met. Bringing the total compensation up to $975k. Keeps the salary/buyout lower and increases incintives. If I were to structure the contract a Sun Belt outright title would be worth $100k.

Most people considering the move from there to here don't fully appreciate the value add until they actually make the move.
