We need to deal with reality. We're not going to be able to peel away the OC at Clemson.

That's what people said about Gus Malzhan and then he signed with Ark State.

A guy I like a lot is Joe Moorhead. OC for Penn State. Previously the HC at Fordham. The thing I'd worry about with a guy like him is the culture change from the northeast to the south.

I'm sure he makes more as the OC at Penn State than we are paying Hud.

I'm sure he makes more as the OC at Penn State than we are paying Hud.

I'd love to tell you what he makes but Penn State coaches aren't listed on USA Today coaches salary list BUT in 2016 only 12 coordinators were listed as making 1 million or more.

My opinion is most of the coordinators who would be on a short list to be the HC at a G5 make in the 500-750 range. Once you go over that you are damn near priced out of a low G5.

FCS coaches will very. John Grass who was mentioned earlier make in the 250k range. That type of pay could be double by us and he could be given a much bigger salary pool for assistants.

That money for assistants is the key. No one wants to coach at a place where they can't get their guys bc the money isn't there.
