Silly to get rid of him?

Is he willing to take a pay cut, because if not, then we need to send him packing. A million dollar head coach is supposed to be getting better results in his 7th season.

This narrative has been pushed about mass exodus, mutiny, players leavening etc and the fact is the ones who left haven't played a single practice snap anywhere else, the ones still here are playing for each other and we lack talent on defense. That's it. Hud has coaching deficiencies for sure but the wider this witch hunt gets, the sillier getting rid of him looks. If you think Will Hall is the only coach on this staff who gets respect, you are misinformed.
    Coutts?

We shouldn't be asking Hud to take a pay cut. We gave him the contract to maintain and improve his past performance. If he's not worth the current contract he needs to exit.

I can certainly see not giving a million dollar contract to an unproven coach. If Hud has established he's not worth a million, he's not worth a dollar.

Me too. That comment doesn't make any sense. JD may have been reluctant to play aggressively due to injury and Hud was clumsy describing that???

Not silly at all to get rid of him, I'm for it. Just think there is a way to go about it. You want to get rid of him? Stop being CNN and concentrate on his actual issues. Don't crucify the man every time he farts...it's a little bit boy that cried wolf to me.

That wasn't what you said. Don't change the convo.

You want to take a stab at how many special teams players we've had transfer or quit in the past 5 years? You know, the group that works with Hudspeth the most...

Not sure a coach has taken, or been offered a pay cut for poor performance. That would mean the school is willing to accept a lower production level, nothing an AD wants on a resume.

Yet you were selling the narrative that he wasn't going to play football anymore and was going home. When all along many on here said he was leaving to play somewhere else and it has a lot to do with locker room issues.

If all of this talk boils down to we recruited extremely poor on defense... that's pretty pathetic. I see no excuse for recruiting layer upon layer... year after year... with redshirts and all... and ending up with untalented defensive starters on balance... in the south. It makes no sense to me.

I quickly countey19 junior college players on the 99 man roster. About one in five. I'm sure I missed a few, but that number is hard to justify. Clearly missing evaluations on high school talent, or simply not able to get them in.
