Thread: 'Whole new season' on tap for Ragin' Cajuns, Warhawks in Sun Belt opener

  1. UL Football 'Whole new season' on tap for Ragin' Cajuns, Warhawks in Sun Belt opener

Two Sun Belt Conference football members meet Saturday in the league opener for both, and they're meeting under very different circumstances than one season ago.

In fact, when Louisiana and ULM face off at 4 p.m. at Cajun Field, it will be different circumstances than in any season in recent memory.

UL Football New season starts Sept 23

I know I know, another one of "these" threads, "sunshine pumping", but I actually am drinking the Kool-Aid this time guys. Tomorrow is big. This team can get back to .500, be 1-0 in conference, and really have some momentum going into our bye week before our trip to Idaho. The reason I am drinking the Kool-Aid, is because of the offense. It has been years since we have been able to move the ball like this. And Yes I know, to say the defense is struggling is an understatement, but they are showing signs of life. If we can continue to improve every week, who knows maybe we could steal the conference championship this year. Who's with me? haha

Honestly, also, I just can't be negative anymore. Last weekend sucked for me, and why? We lost to a SEC team with more talent than us. Boo Hoo! Our guys played their _____es off. Yes our situation needs to change, and some things need to be addressed, but there are only a handful of teams in the country that aren't in the same boat. I thought a lot all week, and I am just tired of coming on here complaining about all that is wrong. So, going forward not only for the team but also for me....New season starts tomorrow. Geaux Cajuns!!

Well, the road to an outright sun belt championship starts tomorrow so there's that.

I think this will be a hotly contested game and a win will be great to watch.

The Saints and the Cajuns are a combined 1-4 this season and losing is becoming a common feeling the past few years. I'll take any win I can get because love him or not, Stevie P is right-"enjoy the moment." You're flying high when you win then some time passes and you're sitting there wondering what a win feels like?

Looks like temps in the 80s with no rain. Stay hydrated!

If we struggle against ULM, what's going to happen when we play App State, Troy and GA Southern?

Thankfully, we don't play Troy. GA Southern lost to the University of New Hampshire. See, things are looking up already.

The premise of this thread is flawed. There is only one season and we are 3 games in. Looked bad in all three.
